Save the Dates!-Virtual Educational Opportunities to hear from key speakers from the NAACCR 2020 Annual Conference.

 

NAACCR is pleased to announce that we will be offering virtual educational opportunities during the time reserved for the Annual Conference. The sessions will be offered free of charge, but advanced registration is required. Registration is limited to a maximum of 1000 participants. As always, CEUs will be available for CTRs. You are free to attend as many sessions as you like. A Registration link will be available soon.

NAACCR would like to sincerely thank our colleagues at the Pennsylvania Cancer Registry and the New Jersey State Cancer Registry for volunteering to host the NAACCR 2020 Annual Conference. We would also like to thank the Program Committee and all of the NAACCR Members who dedicated their time and effort to planning this event.

NAACCR will issue full refunds to paid registrants of the conference and workshops:

  • Those organizations that have paid by credit card will receive a credit to the card that was used to pay for the registration. A cancellation confirmation will be sent to the person who registered. No further action is needed on your part.

  • Those organizations that paid by check will receive a check in the mail issued within 30 days. A cancellation confirmation will be sent to the person who registered. No further action is needed on your part.

  • Those organizations that mailed a check, but whose check was not yet processed, will received the voided check back in the mail. A cancellation confirmation will be sent to the person who registered. No further action is needed on your part.

 

To those who registered, but who have not yet paid, your registration will be cancelled with no further action necessary on your part. A cancellation confirmation will be sent to the person who registered.

Dear NAACCR Community,

In light of ongoing concerns, and the longer-term ramifications that the Covid-19 virus will have on the cancer registry community, the NAACCR Board of Directors and staff have consulted with the Loews Hotel, NAACCR legal representation, and other key partners and have agreed that it is in the best interest of the cancer registry community to cancel the NAACCR 2020 Annual Conference.

We make this decision with deep regret, as it is the first time in 33 years that NAACCR has not hosted an Annual Conference. However, we are in the process of identifying alternate avenues of delivering key and innovative content to the cancer surveillance community including presenting a series of NAACCR Talks with key speakers/subjects later in the year. 

We will follow this communication with details on the cancellation of rooms, full registration refunds and other matters as they relate to the conference. Those who submitted abstracts for the conference and invited speakers will be contacted via email with additional information soon. Updated information will continue to be posted on the NAACCR conference website: https://www.naaccr2020.org/.

Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented international health crisis. We wish you the best of health, and hope to see you all next year in Palm Springs, CA, June 5-11, 2021!

The NAACCR Staff and Board continue to monitor the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with regard to our June conference. The NAACCR Staff and Board want to make the best decision possible to address member safety and needs. NAACCR will update you as information becomes available in coming days and weeks. You are always welcome to reach out the Board or NAACCR staff with any additional thoughts or concerns.
